Just putting my eye to the view finder of a camera is in itself an adventure, until the shutter clicks and the image appears I wait with baited breath.
The act of capture is almost primeval with the photographer stalking its prey, lining it up and waiting for exactly the right moment to fire, in an instant getting the prize shot.
Photography like our world is evolving and ever changing. The speed of advancement is bewildering and exciting and puts the ability to capture a magic moment at everybody's fingertips. It is the planning and dedication to time spent in the field that makes the difference, along with a good eye and a whole heap of luck!
Photography makes me slow down and take stock. I notice the changes to our environment, to people and to places. The ability to be able to capture a moment in time, never to be repeated is in itself amazing.
As I review my images I have the opportunity to relive a time, a place, a connection. I hope that through my pictures you are able to experience that too.
Reflection should be an important part of all of our lives but in the hectic world in which we live it too often takes a back seat. Always look forward but allow some time to glance back and enjoy what has gone before.
